SPORSORA’S Conference, Assises de l’économie du sport, in Paris on 8th October 2015 will focus on the many opportunities available for both economic and social good as France plays host to many major events in the upcoming years. These include hosting Euro 2016, the 2017 Men’s World Handball Championships, the 2018 Ryder Cup and Paris’ bid for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The morning event, attended by Mr Thierry Braillard, Secretary of State for Sport, will explore what is necessary to make a success of these events and the legacy that can be left for future generations.
The topics will cover the possible changes to motorsport, the economics relating to sporting and non-sporting events and the legacy that the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games has left on the UK.
Tickets are priced at €300 (SPORSORA members receive a discount) – to book, click here – and details about the programme can be found here.

Note to editors:
Sport represents a major social and societal stake, and an engine of growth in the economy. Conscious about their responsibility, the actors of the sports economy created SPORSORA, an inter-professional organization for serving the general interest, in 1994. The main mission of SPORSORA is to favour the dialogue amongst stakeholders, professionalising and developing the sports economy, and promoting sports marketing as an innovation, management and communication lever. In 2015, SPORSORA brings together almost 200 members (advertisers, agencies, media, schools and sports operators) and a network of more than 600 experts.
