Ruth Crilly (influencer)
Ruth Crilly (aka A Model Recommends) is a fashion model, writer and beauty insider. She has over ten years international modelling experience which has taken her to numerous exciting locations. Past and present ad campaigns include Olay, Swatch, River Island and Sunsilk and she has appeared in editorials for magazines including Elle,Vogue, Glamour and Grazia.
Ruth graduated from the Open University with a First Class Honours degree in Literature in 2008 and then went onto be awarded with an MA in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway.
Ruth is a popular and well-respected online influencer with over 300,000 YouTube subscribers and 139,000 Instagram followers. Her witty and informative writing style has also earned her a loyal following on her blog, which regularly amasses over 300,000 visits per month. Ruth’s blog and video topics vary from beauty product reviews, vlogs, baby updates and fashion favourites.
Bruce Daisley (EMEA VP, Twitter)
Bruce Daisley is the EMEA Vice President of Twitter. He joined the company in 2012 having previously ran Google’s display business. At Google Bruce had responsibility for YouTube and display advertising. He has also worked at Emap / Bauer and Capital Radio.
Previously New Media Age recognised Bruce as having made the Greatest Individual Contribution to new media in the UK. in 2015 he was voted Individual of the Year in The Drum’s Social Media rankings. He is a digital advisor to Comic Relief and in 2017 is a judge in the Design Effectiveness Awards. Bruce regularly speaks on the evolution of work culture and runs a podcast “Eat Sleep on the subject. The podcast has featured in the iTunes top business podcasts since its launch at the start of 2017.
Danny Lopez (COO, Blippar)
Danny is the COO of Blippar, a technology company that specialises in augmented reality and computer vision. He is also a non-executive director at Innovate Finance, the membership association that represents the UK’s global FinTech community.
Previously, Danny was the British Consul General to New York and Director General for Trade & Investment in the USA, a position he held between 2011-16. When he was appointed at the age of 37, Danny became the youngest person to serve in this position in the Consulate’s 230-year history.
Danny is also an advisor to New York based VC firm, FinTech Collective; a Grant Thornton Commissioner for the Vibrant Economy; and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Bonita Norris (adventurer)
Bonita Norris is the youngest person ever to have reached the summit of Everest and the North Pole (by the age of 23). She has been on six expeditions to the Greater Ranges and has climbed some of the world’s highest peaks, most recently making an attempt on K2 in Pakistan in 2016. She published her first book The Girl Who Climbed Everest in 2017 and is an ambassador for Play For Change.
Cassandra Russell (VP of Sales, StyleHaul)
Cassandra cut her media teeth as the first employee of interactive TV agency Weapon7, later moving into online sponsorship at ITV. In her role as Multiplatform Solutions Controller, she curated the digital sponsorship opportunities for some of the largest TV shows in the UK.
Her interest in all things social led her to StyleHaul, a contemporary marketing services and media company with a flair for storytelling powered by data. As Vice President for UK Sales, she works with brands across many sectors, helping them to connect with the right social Creators to create standout content and experiences that drive ROI.
Wouter Sleijffers (CEO, Fnatic)
Following a hugely successful career in marketing, (culminating in his final role pre Fnatic as VP of Marketing for Skrill/PaySafe Group) and with a fervour for business development Fnatic’s CEO, Wouter leads us into Fnatic’s transformation into a global enterprise and ambitious new territory.
Outside of Fnatic, Wouter has joined multiple initiatives, associations and advisory boards that each have the goal of developing the esports industry.
Bob Verbeeck (CEO, Golazo)
Bob Verbeek is the CEO of Golazo. He was a Semi-finalist at Olympic Games in Los Angeles 1984 (5000m track & field) and a European champion 3000m indoors in Athens 1985.
Bob Verbeeck’s dream and Golazo’s mission is to get the whole world moving, as it improves everyone’s lives. Golazo makes it happen through exercise programs for school kids as well as for employees, mass participation events and digital solutions. This “movement” creates new and unique sponsorship opportunities that promote wellbeing and facilitate employee engagement.
