Fans enjoyed skiing on a dedicated and appropriately named ‘Claret and Blue run’, with iconic club mascot Hammerhead and Club legend Marlon Harewood who was on hand throughout the weekend to join in the fun!
Harewood, a firm favourite of the Hammers faithful, was on hand to meet fans, share memories from his playing days and spread his passion for West Ham United. Following an exhilarating day of skiing on the Park City mountains, fans tested their knowledge with a West Ham themed pub quiz, as well as having the chance to win a range of unique prizes .
There was a great camaraderie and atmosphere on Saturday morning, as fans were in high-spirits for 8am as the game kicked off over 4800 miles away in North London. The fans in attendance for the Club’s first ever in-market activation in Utah generated great energy, as they kicked every ball with Graham Potter’s side who emerged victorious thanks to Jarrod Bowen’s first half goal which sealed a famous victory for the Hammers.
A second successive victory at Emirates Stadium made it a weekend to remember for Hammers around the world and capped off a scintillating West Ham filled weekender for those who headed to Park City, Utah. Fans in attendance included representatives from a number of U.S. supporter groups including the Park City Hammers, Miami Hammers and New York City Hammers, which made for an electric atmosphere throughout the weekend and highlighted the Club’s presence across the U.S.
Most importantly the event, which was hosted by Essex Mortgage, raised over $15,000 for the West Ham United Foundation, the Club’s official charity which is at the forefront of community development, engaging with up to 50,000 every year across east London, Essex and beyond. Essex Mortgage are the Club’s Official US Residential Mortgage Lender and this latest in-market activation highlights their commitment to supporting the Hammers creating a home from home for fans, regardless of location.
This latest successful event highlights the passion felt for the Hammers around the world and comes hot off the heels of last year’s success stateside, with the Hammers flag flown proudly both on the Sunshine State pre-season tour last summer, as well as most recently on Premier League Morning’s in Chicago in September 2024.
