West Ham United was proud to announce the successful launch of the Hammers Business Network powered by Intuit QuickBooks, the Club’s Official Accounting Software and Sleeve partner, at an exclusive brunch at The Stratford Hotel on Thursday 17 October, hosted by former Hammer Scott Minto.
The Hammers Business Network has been specially engineered to provide a platform for its members to connect, innovate and grow their businesses. The network is a space that encourages the sharing of ideas and offers the framework to collaborate with relevant businesses who are equally as passionate about success, both on and off the pitch.
The founding members are made up of existing West Ham United partners and selected businesses from within our Club London corporate membership. From global organisations through to businesses earlier in their growth journey, this network houses the very best of West Ham United’s business community.
The first event saw West Ham United’s Chief Commercial officer Nathan Thompson outline the framework for the network’s success and discuss its plans moving forward. Launching the event, Head of Sponsorship Martin Dyhouse and Head of Strategic Partnerships Anthaeus Weir, from Intuit QuickBooks, explained why they were so excited to support this initiative showcasing how they will help businesses grow.
Guests also heard how another former Hammer, Marlon Harewood, managed his transition from the football pitch to the business world with the creation of his own company, a thriving concierge and lifestyle service company, MH10 Global.
The Hammers Business Network will feature an exciting programme of quarterly events, providing in-person opportunities for members to come together and learn, network and drive new business opportunities together as well as a thriving online presence, allowing businesses to call on one another to support their business requirements.
Nathan Thompson, West Ham United’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “We are really pleased to launch the Hammers Business Network – a new concept for us that will add tangible value to our business community. We, as a Club, have grown significantly over the past few years and it is important that we continue to provide new opportunities for other businesses to achieve their own growth ambitions. With the support and expertise of Intuit QuickBooks, the Hammers Business Network will do just that.
“We look forward to delivering a varied calendar of events that will provide both insight and the tools needed to make their businesses more efficient and we look forward to sharing the success stories of member collaborations over the coming months”.
Michael Benjamin, Marketing Director at Intuit QuickBooks, said: “The Hammers Business Network brings together QuickBooks’ expertise in supporting growing businesses with the dynamic network of West Ham United’s business community. At Intuit QuickBooks, we understand how challenging it can be for businesses to manage everything, and this collaboration is all about helping them grow by providing the right financial tools, insights and connections.
“By combining our resources and expertise, we aim to transform the future for many businesses. It’s not just about numbers—it’s about building confidence and connecting with others on the same journey. Together, we’re building a network that will make a real difference and change outcomes for those involved. The power of a community has never been stronger.”
