The Account Director will be working with some of the largest and most respected sports teams and properties in the industry, responsible for leading a high performing team delivering impactful analysis and insights to support across three key areas – sponsorship acquisition and renewal, sponsorship impact and understanding the fan. This position requires an experienced sports industry executive who is used to working in a high-paced environment with a demanding yet rewarding client base. There will be a focus on innovation through a deep understanding of product capabilities and client’s requirements, objectives and challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for managing relationships with a number of leading global rights holder clients including programme management, programme delivery, client engagement and revenue growth
Understanding key client’s business challenges is critical in your ability to deliver impactful insights that will make a difference in their decision making
Accountable for the team’s delivery of project work, the quality of that work and the impact it has on clients
Responsible for the revenue and profitability of the team with an expectation of growth
Take the lead on all RFPs within the team and manage other stakeholder input during the process
Proactively participate in the development of new products and help the product team create realistic roadmaps that align to industry needs
You’ll be managing direct reports as well as project managing wider production teams and SMEs – it’s critical to support the learning and development of these teams
Create career pathways for the team and ensure they are working towards their objectives
Responsible for technical training, development and most importantly, the commercial application of business intelligence tools, Nielsen Sports internal tools, research tools etc.
