Our Business Development team is critical to the business. They lead the charge in winning new work from new clients, ensuring we have the turnover to grow the business.
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for building relationships with prospects, understanding their needs and establishing how Hark can help. They will develop proposals and pitches, working closely with delivery teams on concepts and approaches and helping to close deals.
Responsibilities:
Market analysis
– Enhance knowledge of the market by sharing insights into sectors and trends in order to help grow the business
Prospecting and lead generation
– Increase the size and quality of Hark’s business development pipeline by securing interest from new prospects
– Convert leads into developed conversations and briefs
Securing new work
– Manage the sales process from identification of leads to negotiation of commercials and contract signature
– Write proposals and pitches that reflect the needs of prospects
Marketing
– Work closely with business development, corporate marketing and design colleagues to write content for compelling client facing materials
– Create event-based strategies to engage with prospects
Innovation
– Help to identify ways for Hark to build its brand and nurture its pipeline
Tracking and reporting
– Track sales activities against revenue targets using CRM platforms and tools
Skills, experience and qualifications
– Entrepreneurial mindset
– Experience in a business development role, or client-facing role
– Excellent communication skills
– Expert at relationship building
– Confident and capable writer
– Understanding of and experience in working for or with creative agencies desired
– Interest in: education; youth engagement; social impact; and/or sport
Location
– UK based remote first but some London office time required
