As Slingshot works with some of the world’s most innovative brands and rights holders to create valuable and sustainable sponsorship platforms – initiative and motivation are a must.
Only candidates who have a proven track-record of managing multiple tasks, the ability to demonstrate excellent initiative and the hunger to gain knowledge will be considered.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join Slingshot’s growing team. As part of a small, tight-knit sales team, you’ll need to be someone who is passionate, a self-starter and eager to make things happen.
To be successful in this role, you will be required to:
• Master Slingshots’ unique services and client portfolios
• Proactively source and approach new prospects for sponsorship initiatives
• Manage the phones – conducting sales and liaising with new clients
• Drive brand meetings for Directors on behalf of key clients
• Support and work with clients and their internal teams
• Ensuring that the clients are in line to meet their targets for sponsors
• Tracking and managing all procedures for the client and the client’s sponsors
• Provide assistance within other areas such as PR, Communications and Marketing
• Additional tasks including attending evening events, travelling and/or staying away overnight on business
Essential criteria:
• Ideally 2+ years sales experience (preferably sponsorship sales)
• Minimum 2:1 University Degree in an appropriate subject
• Experience of responsibility and hitting targets under pressure
• Telesales experience
• Understanding of the sponsorship and marketing industry
• Naturally, you’ll be required to comply with set targets and performance indicators, and complete administrative duties related to your role.
• Attention to detail is important and computer literacy is essential for working in a digital environment.
• If you’re a self-starter and creative thinker who has great relationship management skills, we want to hear from you!
